1953 Souvineer Booklet

Synopsis:
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the fair offered photos and history of its past in this 1953 souvineer booklet. The Douglas Greater Shows was the traveling carnival that did business with the fair. Earl O. Douglas known as "Mr. Fairway" was the carnival's manager who also owned the Philadelphia Toboggon Carousel. This was prior to when Bob Bollinger purchased it who later donated it to the fair as a permanent structure. This was also the year that the fair boasted the Fairway area as "Sunday School" since it was carefully policed, supervised and clean.
