Review:
Well done documentary on Seattle's long lost beloved amusement park. This DVD contains footage of the park's attractions and rides including POV shot onboard the Dipper roller coaster. Also included are fun and interesting stories depicting people's experiences at Playland as well as interviews with Carl Phare's daughter Nina Fraley and her son Tobin Fraley. Carl Phare was Playland's owner who also designed Playland's Dipper coaster as well as the Jantzen Beach Dipper and the PNE/Playland Coaster that is still operating today in Vancouver, BC. The Seattle Playland, located in Shoreline, Washington, opened in 1930 and closed in 1960 prior to the debut of the 1962 Worlds Fair.
